Acupuncture

Acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine have developed and used to treat a multitude of ailments effectively for many thousands of years. It is evolving as dynamically today as it did during its conception, as practitioners find new techniques to treat disease. As an experienced practitioner, Jing observes that many who seek her treatments have failed by conventional Western medicine, and may have experienced life-changing relief from her treatments.

A typical session of acupuncture lasts around 30 minutes. However, the first session tends to be longer, as detailed history and examination are taken for diagnosis and carry bout treatments accordingly.

Depending on the nature of the illness, the number of treatment sessions can vary. Fewer sessions are needed to treat acute problems, while for chronic diseases a longer course of treatment may be necessary.

One of the benefits of taking acupuncture treatment is the ability to facilitate the body's own mechanisms of healing, without the need for medication. It provides an invaluable alternative for those who are unable to tolerate drug treatments for various reasons.
The single most common complaints Jing deals with on a daily basis is a pain. Many patients will come to her as a last resort when they have exhausted all conventional painkillers, or find their side effects simply intolerable. In addition, Jing will often use Chinese herbal medicine to complement acupuncture for those she feels would benefit. To achieve the best results, a combined course of both acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine is sometimes necessary.
