Chinese Medicine

The underlying principle of Chinese herbal medicine is to develop a balance between Yin and Yang, the two opposing characteristics of the life force called Qi (pronounced chi). A person is ill when his or her Yin and Yang are out of balance.

Chinese Medicine uses a variety of different herbs in combination to achieve a synergistic effect. Each herb is specifically chosen with others so that their effects are mutually enhanced, enabling maximum therapeutic effectiveness.

Each patient is treated with a mixture of herbs specially tailored to their illness and resulting in a balance of Qi. As you can image, each case is unique, and the mixture of herbs chosen is designed to treat the patient as a whole, and not just a collection of symptoms.
